Parks should still be a highlight in your life. I know, you and I aren’t 8 anymore, but that doesn’t change the equation that much. Parks can, and still should be, a place for playful challenge. You can learn to go there for your reasons as much as you go there for theirs. There are just 4 simple rules for playing at a park with kids: 1. NO phones on your person. You’ll be fine without it. 2. NO sitting down. Continuous movement is the challenge. 3. DO whatever they want you to do in the park: slide, swing, chase, hide, etc. 4. DO remember to be grateful and appreciate health. Playing at parks should be a staple in our lives whether at home in our town or neighborhood or if we are traveling and need an excellent place to stop and get out for a break. Sure, the other women sitting there on their phones might think you’re crazy, but you have to start thinking that just sitting there on your phone is actually what’s crazy! You’re at a park after all. Be an example and give them a sample.
