I'm still surprised when women complain of boredom or live knowing that they piddle their precious time away by just settling with who they’ve become… Truth is, in a time like this, I've never been busier. I don't see this shutdown as a time to rest and relax, and you shouldn't either. Now more than ever you have time to make new opportunities, craft your future and to secure and things in your path headed downhill that you need to reroute to the uphill. Rather than gluing your face to seductive time traps, sleeping in, Netflix or Facebook to name just three, get a list of productive, life-changing moves to make in the days ahead: 1. Create a list of things to buy which enhance your life. Have you put off buying new religious items, gym props, health foods and tools just because you've been caught not living your ideal for way to long? Refocus and remember the best time to act is when no one else is. 2. Get your home and relationship affairs in order. Update your will, write your parents that letter, share your secrets, ask for forgiveness, turn your life's page. Not because a virus is running you down, but because this has always been the right thing to do…do it while there’s time. 3. Refine your goals, vision, and values. There's nothing like a really good shake down to sort out what actually matters in life. Use this time to become clearer than ever on what direction this life is taking you. 4. Pare down. Go through your clutter in home or heart. Decide which things are causing you to bleed the slow death. Get real with yourself about what you do and don't use and what isn’t truly life enhancing. Make it spring-cleaning on steroids so you come out leaner and meaner on the other side of this. 5. Poke holes in your plans. You are still not as prepared as you could be. Look at all the levers of your existence and decide which ones you need to pull to be more independent and which strategy makes you deeply connected within your web of support. 8. Purge your activities. This has largely been done for us, but decide as a family that’s you’ll never have a better opportunity than this to re-forge your family's path and culture. 9. Get a handle on your health. This is a great season to return to your more agile and adaptable self through sport. Not only is your health one of your prime assets, but your family and community needs the best of you, so bring it! Eat more grass-fed natural meats, grow veggies, cut back on all things sugar and processed foods, exercise regularly, drink more water, and get more sleep. Pray, pray and pray some more. 10. Start your passion project. You keep telling yourself you'll write the novel, record the song, paint the picture, become pregnant or renew deeply your marriage so it lasts. Well, God has given the means NOW by his mercy. YOU are NOT on shutdown...so get on it! Much love to you and your family, Coach Rebecca Want to talk specifics? I’d make the time anyway to chat about your personal challenge and help you forge the path forward. Book that free chat right here. Build your bridge over troubled waters today!

It is now that the self-teaching moment of the day, instead of the self-medicating moment, has arrived.
But am I helpless? The food cravings roaring within: sugar, crunch, salt, carbs, caffeine…my body is saying, you’re bored, you’re distracted, you’ve stalled out, you’re looking left and right while My perfect will for you is straight ahead. Truth be told, my feels a little faint today from the exhaustion of four nights of back-to-back baby-interrupted rest. I toil on. I lean into Christ and the pillars which uphold my days: faith, fitness and food. I am not helpless. I tell myself that getting kitchen-bound right about now to heal emotions and feelings isn’t going to help me reach the goal. It’s not. It will in fact distract and detract. I must toil on and keep my eyes on the prize if I am to help myself. My goal is actually, literally to sit here and write to you…and you…and you, all you beautiful souls who read this needing to know there is a still more excellent way for us as mothers. And it’s not just my life that holds those keys. We are not helpless. I toil on staying on task and my spirit lifts because I am within what I am to do. I align with my ideal, stay the course, finish the race and keep the faith. Then I have not fallen prey to the acedia which tries in desperation to strangle me. I further have no reason for a mental or emotional self-flogging. I am the victor over self by Christ in me. I toil on! About that cross today that I carry, that you carry…it gets lighter with every YES and oneness of our will with His. What are you avoiding? My fingers are speeding across the keyboard now with zest to also bring you passion and purpose for this life, this fight, your plight. You are not helpless. His holy will is often well hidden beneath that which on the surface is kids that won’t quit fighting, the schedule with never an opening, and the hum drum of keeping your life together…just barely. Let’s get you finding your forward everyday through mercy and a proven method to make you the mother you always wanted to be and the wife you knew you could be. You were made for this. Be not afraid. Book a chat with me. I take time to speak with each woman for an hour or more and light the fire of conviction and commitment. What are you waiting for? Find this hour of time FIRST, and then find the rest of the fit and faithful life! Looking forward to powerfully encouraging YOU, Rebecca Dussault "The WISE Gals program is truly life changing. For over a year I kept telling myself I would start exercising someday, but someday never came until I made the commitment to begin. With 10 children, 7 of whom I’m still homeschooling, I would never have found the time to exercise on my own. But Rebecca gave me a treasure chest of exercises, and methods to fit it in joyfully and purposefully. She is an amazing coach and knows just when to push and when to praise. My whole family is grateful that I completed the program and I am still as enthusiastic about it. I’m more flexible and stronger than I thought I ever could be and now have energy to be the happy and productive mom and wife that I always wished I could be." - Michelle M. I see you…the mom that craves change. You’re not ALONE.
Time is just flying by with all the New Year, “new you” momentum that is being captured here at Fit Catholic Mom, and what a great start it’s off to because women want to make things new, and live out their vocations with zest and self-care. Here’s a powerful recent comment from a woman I train: I'm learning so much and growing in my faith and fitness a tiny bit every day. I know I will face setbacks and stumbling blocks in the future; however, today I feel my armor is stronger than it's been since literally high school athletics. I have no idea if the future will hold more races, or what have you, but I am now believing that it could be possible for me. I reached out to my friend (fallen away Catholic, avid gardener) and offered to help her with her garden in exchange for some of the spoils, some hard work and conversation. You've given me, and continue to give me so many ideas. I am in awe of you, but I am also so much more aware of my potential BECAUSE of you. -Beth, mother of 10 I also want you to realize your potential with methodical steps that are easy and attractive to you. They should be as unique as you are: your people, your place, your passions. The last thing you should be thinking is that you need to make changes and then start looking for that “celery diet” or decide to head to the gym 20 min. away for an hour and a half a day. Likely, these efforts will leave you feeling like you went Easy + 10 in your quest for better living. Will you sustain it? “To begin is for everyone, to persevere is for saints.” -St. Jose Maria Escriva If you’re so done looking into worldly methods and the racket of it's 'do this and do that,' and are missing real a integration of spirit and flesh, then let’s jump tracks and teach you truly Catholic means to discover how much you love yourself, your life and your loved ones. Simple + significant…sustained. That's the goal to achieve the life altering change you crave. I am happy to help you reach this place and thrive, but first, drop the busyness, excuses or fear and begin to say yes to yourself by booking a free call with me. Today’s the day, Coach Rebecca Would you like to love yourself through the coming holidays? Would you like to be free of the regret and remorse of how you spent your time and money?
I know you’d love to feel like you have really high energy levels, enthusiasm on demand, and truth in action coursing through your heart and home to get into a New Year. This is a beautiful time…the Advent of what’s to come! Most of us are truly battling the darkness in these many weeks of winter. We are struggling to fit in all the daylight activities as they are scrunched in tighter by the setting of the sun, which literally sucks the warmth away with it. Living just south of the Canadian border has our sun setting currently in the 3 o’clock hour!!! This shifts my workouts, work and even my energies. I am less out on the land and more in the home. I have to get more creative and do things like bring my road bike into the living room and mount it on the stationary trainer just to log some endurance cardio while watching or schooling the kids at the same time. Pssst. Can I tell you something? I actually love this because then I can take in full length homilies and podcasts after kids are in bed…alone, just me on a bike. I need to anticipate and plan well for this darkness to take over or I don't have even the remotest chance of success within it. I have to engineer my time and my home to accompany my desires. Do I always win at this? No. Confesson: I sometimes succumb to making my house so clean and cozy that I will miss my opportunities to succeed at the above. We all have to know when to say no to something good to grab onto something great. We all need to hate the habits which lead us off path. We need to disdain the acedia of our lives which has us chasing uselessly at stuff that is not of progress or for (His) presence, but madness and mania. I want to love my human, allowing all kinds of light into what remains to be my dark and untamed places. I want to pad with straw my heart’s manger better this season, and make sure my primary objective is to prepare a place for my innocent and precious Savior...coming to me daily. I believe we can do this. I believe we should want this. I believe he’s asking us to. Sport is that awesome tool of excellence which really helps us to elevate and achieve more than comfort and indifference lend to us. We flex the same mental muscles to be faithful at anything! We work it from deep inside and find conviction that something really matters and we start stepping forward into it. I want to help you beat back the excuses so you can hate (less) your humanand begin to spiritually and physically love yourself showing the discipline and direction to crave and craft the life you imagined! P.S. I am here to help you in a totally Catholic and creative way. NO GYMS - NO SITTERS - NO CALORIE COUNTS - NO WASTED EFFORTS!! Let’s chat a plan about YOUR life so you can put to death the habits holding you hostage and be truly free and new in your blessed lifestyle of faith and fitness. In the fullness of time, Rebecca Dussault Make the call...and BOOK the call! Toys! :( Your kids don’t need more of these and you don’t want them either!!! You’re often overwhelmed in your house which has fallen into a costly and time consuming chaos. There are toys underfoot, clutter in every corner, kids fighting over plastic junk, and you’re totally over it. You’re stressed out sister! You spend your precious time being a negotiator of who-gets-what and for how long, I mean, you’re a professional volunteer toy referee! Great! That’s just great, in fact, I bet your planning to complicate that even more this Christmas aren't you. I dare you to think outside the box... I dare you to “experience” Christmas and not just buy it! What could you DO with your family that would be memorable and special? - a hay ride and Christmas carols ending at a remote restaurant? - to sled, ski or walk through the darkened night streets popping envelopes into mailboxes containing a charitable donation made to perfect strangers? - a get away to soak in some hot springs to drink hot cocoa, play cards, have a prayerful family reconciliation evening and learn to snowshoe? - some beach camping walking up and down drawing the scenes of the nativity in the sands of Mexico while praying the Rosary and spending time with the poor? There’s a 1,000 ways or more to celebrate Christmas that don’t involve unwrapping more junk you don’t need or want. The average American family will spend $700 at retail stores in the next few weeks. For many, that’s $700 they don’t even really have. Yuck! Save that time and save that money. Invest in building the culture of your crew. Prioritize the performance of the people in your pack! Go have an experience! Lastly, they need a set of happy, healthy and holy parents who invest in what profoundly grows that in themselves! Promise yourself you’ll unwrap the gift of greater fitness, freedom and connection with your loved ones over the next month and beyond. Break the mold! You won’t regret it for a minute. I’d love to help you invest in yourself and make the changes your sick and tired of putting off. Start this valuable process by processing your reality with me on a free consultation. Book a slot now! Engage and Enliven! Christmas can be a rebirth for you too! In Christ the coming light, Rebecca Dussault I shouldn’t have to do this!
You shouldn’t have to do this. No woman should have to do this… ….look in the mirror and feel hated by herself. While you might mourn the loss of your figure, are saddened by a stagnant faith, or are generally lacking vocational zest, don’t hate. Nothing good comes of it. Love yourself. While you wish you had more time, stable amounts of extra money, and a way better genetic inheritance, don’t hate. Nothing good comes of it. Love yourself. While you resent how much your house, your spouse and your children need you, don’t hate. Nothing good comes of spilling your precious energies into that. Love yourself. Love yourself the most when you don’t want to. Love yourself when he’s intimate with you. Love yourself when the errands make you raw. Love yourself when relatives rake you over hot coals. Love yourself when you sin and have to repent again. Love yourself daily and work, work, work on it. Promise Him this! Your thoughts direct your actions, which dictate your future. Life is going to rage and you’re in the way…still. Get out of the way of yourself and love the reality that you CAN change. You can be fortified for every good work for you were called according to his great purposes. I want to help you craft a life that you can truly love and SUSTAIN. I want to help you help yourself to a more radical freedom inside you. Women under my direction do this on a daily basis. Here’s the kind of things they say: “Rebecca, I cannot begin to tell you how much our conversation changed my whole outlook. You are a special person and I'm so glad I found you (though I have to stop stalkerishly wishing we lived closer...) I was really moved by your thoughts about me and when I'm feeling good about myself I know those things to be true. God made me to be strong--body/mind/spirit--I know deep down He did. I just have to do my part with the pillars. I feel like I can do this after speaking with you… I realized I need to be the best version of myself most of the time for these extraordinary human beings that God in His infinite wisdom put in my life. I am strong. I am loved. I can do this.” S. Brown from Pennsylvania Looking forward to helping you get serious about loving yourself again and being the version of YOU that your beautiful vocation deserves. Book a free breakthrough session with me today! Sincerely in Christ, Rebecca Dussault You love to see transformation! You are attracted to healthy and affirming changes.
You watch people flip houses, loose 50 lbs. and gain a new form or quit a long held vice and embrace more freedom. You celebrate, and you envy them. You scroll through newsfeeds of people and note their awesome progress but do nothing more for yourself. Somehow you’ve avoided the need for your own overhaul! You flip through channels looking for a facelift on a house which is sorely outdated and lacking attractiveness, and yet, you don’t realize your desire to see all thing made new doesn’t ever get to cross the yellow taped off spaces of your own body or spirit. So you’re into change, but NOT really. Will this work for you much longer? Will you regret that you saw others putting one foot in front of the other toward newness, health and holiness, but were just an observer until it was too late? I think you need to re-think what change means to YOU! If it’s good for others, it must be good for you also. No double standards. You’re better than that! Today’s the day. Don’t accept another 24 hours of your own shallow excuses. I think you’ll love your before and after! “I was an exhausted, negative thinking, 50 year old mama who felt more like a victim than a survivor. It was extremely difficult to be a light to my family, when I just couldn't seem to shake the negative patterns that I let slip into my life. By God's grace, I found the W.I.S.E. Gals Intensity Course. The program helped me to set new priorities in my life and develop new habits. The message of hope and God's love throughout the entire program have been so motivating. Physically my thinking is clearer and my energy level has increased, which allows me to be more aware of the needs of my husband and children. My body is stronger. I would give my whole-hearted recommendation to this Course. It has changed my life and it can change yours too! It is up to you! Thanks so much Rebecca!” -Sue C. Getting after it with you, Rebecca Dussault Let me peel back the curtain in your mind on a free call (book it!) so you get ultra clear on what can be changed in your life. I have nothing but respect and understanding for all things busy, tired, and frustrated Catholic mom. I work with them every single day. Oh, those summer days with the clean house windows wide open and the sweet breeze moving gently through while the kids play busily outside for hours and you get some space to do your thing…whatever thing, but YOUR thing. Has the last month seen you loose steam on reading, writing, making, exercising, adventuring and connecting with others? Right now, I feel the death of that summer space which rang louder with freedom. Now it’s all hands to the plow at all hours to get kids moved through a school day, chores done, house tidied, people fed, farm serviced, events attended, and more. It’s like we have half as much time and twice as much to do! I know this isn’t unique to my household either. It’s the craziness of flipping routines around, but someones gotta do it. Fair enough, some of these things naturally die off in this transition of priorities like getting to go to the lake nearly every day to take a dip, or having friends over for so many hours of delicious playtime, but as much as some things changes, other things have to remain the same. I’m talking to you mom. Straight to you. Are you taking care of yourself the way you ought to? Are you getting in your “me minutes?” There is something incorrectly conceived in the mind of women that it is selfish to make time for themselves, but those are the mom’s I have the pleasure of chatting with to help rearrange their thinking and priorities. It’s actually very selfish of a woman, especially a mother to not take care of herself. She cannot possibly do that if she won’t stop taking care of everyone else for a minute. Ladies, stop right there if a gym membership, a baby sitter and a perfect body just popped into your head. That’s not it…exactly. I’m talking about things as simple as finding a place on the floor to stretch daily and read from the Word of God, that morning coffee enjoyed on the porch swing alone, the shower behind the securely locked door or the evening run as the dinner cooks away and the sun gently sets. It’s time for you to get your “me minutes” in isn’t it? You need it and your family needs you to…unless you like parenting from a place of illness, frustration and resentment :/ Today isn’t just another day, it’s a precious gift waiting for you to unwrap it and get excited. It’s the present after all! Today you can finally stop saying, “one day” and get the tools to say, “DAY ONE!” I’m not here to push you past your point of breaking, loosing and failure. I’m here to mentor you into motion and to help you find your forward in such a sustainable and graceful way. Book a call with me today and let’s chat your personal plan for how to make this finally happen. Let’s do this! It’s your health, your happiness, and your holiness on the line. In Christ our life, Rebecca Dussault |
